We are pleased to announce that the 12th International Workshop on Semiconductor Oxides (IWSO12) will be held at Kyushu University in Fukuoka, Japan, from May 17 to 21, 2027.

IWSO is an international workshop that traces its roots to the International Workshop on Zinc Oxide and Related Materials (IWZnO), first held in Dayton, USA, in 2000. Building on the IWZnO tradition, the workshop has broadened its scope in response to the expanding field of oxide research and now covers a wide range of topics, from materials science, crystal growth, physical properties, defects, and interfaces to device applications. In addition to oxide semiconductors, research on
ferroelectrics, spintronic materials and devices, and other emerging oxide functionalities is also warmly welcomed.
The workshop has been held biennially since the IWZnO era, rotating among the United States, Europe, and Asia. The 12th edition will be held in Japan.
Abstract submission will open on October 1, 2026.
We encourage researchers working on oxide semiconductors and related fields to submit their latest work and join us in Fukuoka.
