Research Interests
Development of polymeric materials, Polymer photonic crystals, Metal/Covalent organic framework (MOF/COF) porous materials, Microfluidic molecular sensors, Decomposition and recycling of plastic waste, Carbon dioxide fixation and conversion technologies.
Polymers are molecular structures with high molecular weights, typically synthesized from small monomer molecules through various polymerization methods. The characteristics of polymers can be endowed with different material properties through the composition of different monomers. This laboratory primarily focuses on polymer hydrogels, investigating the specific functionalities of different hydrogels based on their physical or chemical structural differences. We also focus on the development of porous polymeric crystalline materials—Covalent Organic Frameworks (COFs). The strong covalent bonds within these materials provide rigid structures, high thermal stability, and low-density physicochemical properties. Based on the concept of sustainable resources, our research is also dedicated to developing technologies for decomposing plastic waste and recycling, aiming to achieve sustainable development.
