A key strategic goal of our department is to establish interdisciplinary research teams across chemical and materials engineering. In recent years, our research efforts have focused on three critical areas: Nano-materials, Advanced Microelectronics, and Biotechnology, supported by substantial resource allocation. In addition to our "Nanocatalyst Research Center" and "Interface Science Research Center," we collaborate with other departments to develop academic centers for Bio-chips, Optoelectronic Packaging, and Energy Materials. We also emphasize strong collaboration with industry, government, and academia, partnering with the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI) to operate a joint R&D center focused on nanotechnology and energy. These initiatives ensure our students gain a broad academic foundation and practical expertise, enabling them to excel in various high-tech industries and research institutions upon graduation.
